These are pictures from the storm we just had. It started to hail and come down so hard that Jeff had to take his car in to a body shop to get all the dents repaired today.

It rained so much that you can see puddles of water in our lawn also.

Apparently one of the cars that was at the body shop had windows broken and much bigger dents. In other areas, not too far from us, the hail was much bigger and did more damage. Golf ball up to tennis ball size balls were coming down. It was painful just to go out a snap a quick picture of our deck. lol.

Girls went on a double date to the Mormon Prom. I think it was great that they were able to go together. They looked so beautiful!

As I strive to live the gospel and to be the best daughter of god I can be, I have a hard time finding cute modest clothing. I do not have any desires to wear immodest clothing and love the way I feel when I am modest and cute at the same time. I can prove, all the girls who think they can only be beautiful if they have less clothes on, wrong. I can be a strong, confident, young woman in my modest clothing. One problem is that I do not have any cute modest swimsuits. The bikinis I find are much much cheaper, but I do not want to sink so low as towear a bikini. If I wore one of those in public there is no possible way I would be able to feel or hear the spirit. As I was browsing the internet for cute modest swimwear I came across a cute, modest,adorable, spirit bringing, gospel following, full piece swimsuit. I would be able to wear it to girls camp, and pretty much anywhere :) I clicked on the image to get to the site in great excitement! I looked at the details and my heart fell in despair, the swimsuit was expensive.

Daddy, I ask you humbly to please, make a small sacrifice for my happiness, and help me buy this swimsuit? I'll make you waffles for dinner if you do :)

I flew to Arizona for two weeks and then drove up to Utah for another week in February and March this year. I was able to spend time with my darling little granddaughters for a few days before I flew home from Salt Lake City. I chased Bree around the yard and tried to get a few shots. Now I know why Talisha has such a hard time getting a decent picture of her girls, they absolutely will not let you take a picture of them. This was a lot of exhausting work, but it was worth it!

Jeff has a new word for his girls. "Hormontional". The funny thing is, I was the one that was trying to explain a few things about "girls" to him and that word just slipped out. He caught it and never let it go!

Talisha had another beautiful baby girl! I was very

The girls went to the Homecoming dance this year.
It was Layni first school dance. She went with a group
of girls, as she is only 15. Kairsti went with Craig Lewis
and a few more of her friends. They both said that they
had a great time.

Jeff went on a "man trip" to Alaska for a week in July.
He brought home a box full of delicious fish!

We haven't done fireworks since the girls were little.
This year we decided not to be party poopers and went
out and got some. We went over to our friends and they
had more than enough for everyone also. Jeff had a little
too much fun blowing things up, maybe that's why we
stopped getting them. Hehehe

I was able to go to camp with the girls for a couple of
days this year. They just happened to be the dry days
that week. They had a big storm hit their camp and
were totally rained out one night, they weren't able to
even sleep in their tents. They still went on with their
activities and ended up having a lot of fun. One evening
the stake had a race for each ward to do a modest paper
towel dress. Kairsti was the paper towel model for our
ward. The dress turned out so cute that Kairsti didn't
want to take it off. Being the fire hazard that it was, she
did eventually tear it off.

Notice Kairsti's fat cheeks! She got them out the day
after school was out. They were impacted so it wasn't
an easy pull job. She had every day and night booked
not believing that she was going to be in pain. She had
them out on Thursday morning and tried to go to her
friends party that night. LOL. She ended up staying for
45 minutes and passing out. We had a Laurel sleep over
at our house the next night which she refused to cancel.
She had another friend party on Saturday night, went to
church on Sunday and then off to camp on Monday for
the week. Her pain pills were her best friends for awhile.
Layni preformed with the North High band at the Cardinal
game on Monday before she went to camp. She had a
great time sitting with her friends and watching the game
after their performance. She wasn't too excited about her
two band camps and all the summer practices she had
for marching band but it ended up being worth it in the
end. Their marching band is outstanding!

My Mom & Dad came out from Utah to visit us at the
end of May. We did the "arch" and a few sights
around this area. The girls were still in school so I
was the only one that was able to go to Nauvoo with
them. We all really enjoyed their visit and hope they
come back soon!

Jeff, Layni & I went to the Collective Soul Concert on
Saturday Night and had a blast! We ended up being
right below the stage front row along the fence. We
couldn't have had a better spot! Jeff stood right behind
us blocking everyone from trying to crowd Layni and me
out from our spot, he made a great wall. We really
wanted to take Kairsti also but she couldn't get off
work as it was graduation that night and all the Seniors
needed the night off.

Last year we took out some of the white rock that
was all the way around our house so I could do some
flower beds. These are the flowers that are in bloom

When we went to Utah for Spring Break we took Lilly to the Build a Bear at the Gateway in SLC. I had just as much fun as she did!

The girls and I decided at the last minute to drive to Utah for their spring break. We left on Friday night and drove straight through to my parents. I haven't ever driven it without stopping for the night. The weather forecast called for snow in the Colorado mountains the next night so I just kept going to miss the storm. Jeff flew in on Wednesday to drive home with us on the next Saturday and we ended up doing the same thing. Only this time it was because we knew if we unloaded we wouldn't ever be able to get everything back again. I will be flying next time.

This is the day after Lilly got out of the hospital. She was in there unexpectedly for three days while I was in Utah. Talisha stayed with her day and night the entire time while she was in the hospital. I was able to have her at their house the day after the hospital stay while Talisha went to work. Lilly isn't hooked up to her oxygen but still has the tubes on her face just in case she needed to be hooked up to the machine. I am very thankful that everything went so well and I didn't need to hook her up. I could have and would have done it but I still would have freaked out if her oxygen level got low enough to be hooked up. My daughter has had to be very strong and spend many nights over the past two years in the hospital and do so much for this special little miracle that we have. I am very proud of her and how she always handles all of Lilly's difficult health situations so well. She has been a wonderful mom to her child. And my grandchild.

Our good friends, Allison, Jon, Bailee, Chase & Talynn Rasmussen are moving to the Netherlands for a couple years. We all will miss them dearly! Allison and I were in the RS presidency together and had a great time serving and having fun together. Jeff will miss his biking buddy Jon, and I will be lonely without Tally.

I am so excited that my daughter is coming this weekend! Of course I told Layni that she needs to clean her bathroom decent this time because of company. My meaning of decent and hers is extremely different so I had to explain that this time I want her to get an old toothbrush and clean around the bottom of the toilet. I keep the old ones just for this purpose. Well she did use a used toothbrush. Kairsti came home tonight and saw that hers had gross stuff on it and started screaming. She told Jeff and he laughed so hard that he had to leave the room. Not getting the response she wanted from Dad, she went it and swooshed Layni's toothbrush around in the toilet bowel. I figured Jeff can now figure out what to do and say to Layni and Kairsti to resolve this. Thank goodness I believe in food storage and also store extra toothbrushes! Teenagers are so much fun.

My family has asked me a few times and for a few years to take pictures of my Christmas decorations but I never do. Since they have asked for pictures of my new house also and Christmas decor again I decided I would just shoot a few pictures to cover both requests. I am so glad that this is all put away now!

Dalayni is in the Jazz band as well as her concert band class. She plays the saxophone and has gotten pretty good at it! The Jazz band meets after school and she has been learning some fun new things in it. They have a really good band program here at the middle school and high school so we are grateful that she is able to participate in it.

It's so much fun to go to Kairsti's Orchestra concerts now that
she is in high school. They preformed well and it was very enjoyable to listen to, they really have a talented group this year.

We had a Glam. Birthday tea party for Kairsti's 16th. All the girls came in their foo foo dresses and we did makeup, pictures and then the tea party. All the girls had fun posing and being silly for the camera. Just to warn everyone, the day she turned 16 we had to run down and have her take the drivers test for her license. She passed so watch out!

Kairsti & Dalayni's Young Women's Evening of
Excellence night.

Kairsti, Sky & Kami have all finished the Personal Progress program. They will be getting their YW medallions all on different Sundays in sacrament meeting.

The mom's of the three were all given flowers also. I am so proud of Kairsti for doing this with such a good attitude and getting it done before she was even a Laurel!

This is a fun picture because Layni has a real smile. Kairsti is in the apron she made for one of her goals and has her goofy tongue smile that seems to be the norm lately. So many of our pictures of Dalayni for about ten years straight have different goofy smiles. When we would get our family pictures taken the photographer would get so frustrated because she would wait until right before he clicked to make her faces. This happened every time I would take her in or have family pictures done. Thank goodness he is a family friend that always put up with it. One day he told me that he was going to get a good family picture with Dalayni. I just laughed. He ended up taking all of our pictures separate and then putting them together for one picture. It was the best family picture we have ever had. Anyway.... I hope this doesn't take ten years for Kairsti to stop sneaking this tongue smile in the pictures.
They are with Dalayni's new teacher in Mia Maids and Kairsti's old teacher, being that she moved up to the Laurel class on her birthday. Her name is "Sister Joe" that's short for Terra Johnson.

Since Layni is now 14 she was able to go to her first stake dance. She was pretty excited to go and even dressed up for the costume party. Kairsti was sad that she couldn't go but she had her Homecoming the same night.

Kairsti's first date was to the Homecoming dance at her high school. Her dates name was Jake and she said they all had a fabulous time. She called us up a few nights before the dance and wanted to make sure it was alright if she went in a limo to the dance. We just had to laugh. On the way home from her date she asked him how he was going to top this date for the next time he takes her out. lol

There is a fun farm not to far from where we live that Kairsti and I went to and picked up some corn stalks and a bail of straw for the front porch from. While we were there we had a good time checking out the horses and playing in the barn with the baby kittens. In the picture Kairsti is hanging upside down out of the loft of the barn. It got dark fast but we still went through the corn maze with a flashlight and the light of the moon.

We all went to see the Lord of the Rings Symphony on the 19th of September and it was fabulous! You can't see it very well but Jeff is standing in front of one of the Urukais from the movie. Now you can't call it an Ork I was told, or you are not a true fan. There were a few ugly "things" that had guards by them from the actual movie. Someone from the St. Louis University bought them for a million dollars and let Symphony Hall display them for this. There was also one handsome cardboard man standing all alone without an official guard that Kairsti and I are standing by. It is Aragorn which I would take any day over anything else from the movie. Kairsti tells me she would prefer Legolas but Aragorn isn't too bad for an old man.

Layni's School Band preformed for the Mayor at the Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting of the new McDonald's in O'Fallon on Sept. 11th. The band did a great job! I enjoyed watching and listening to them play all their patriotic songs for the ceremony.

Time Out For Women

Deseret Book put on a "Time Out For Women" at the Saint Charles Convention Center here in Missouri. About 20 ladies from our ward attended and had a fabulous time.
