Kairsti & Dalayni's Young Women's Evening of
Excellence night.

Kairsti, Sky & Kami have all finished the Personal Progress program. They will be getting their YW medallions all on different Sundays in sacrament meeting.

The mom's of the three were all given flowers also. I am so proud of Kairsti for doing this with such a good attitude and getting it done before she was even a Laurel!

This is a fun picture because Layni has a real smile. Kairsti is in the apron she made for one of her goals and has her goofy tongue smile that seems to be the norm lately. So many of our pictures of Dalayni for about ten years straight have different goofy smiles. When we would get our family pictures taken the photographer would get so frustrated because she would wait until right before he clicked to make her faces. This happened every time I would take her in or have family pictures done. Thank goodness he is a family friend that always put up with it. One day he told me that he was going to get a good family picture with Dalayni. I just laughed. He ended up taking all of our pictures separate and then putting them together for one picture. It was the best family picture we have ever had. Anyway.... I hope this doesn't take ten years for Kairsti to stop sneaking this tongue smile in the pictures.
They are with Dalayni's new teacher in Mia Maids and Kairsti's old teacher, being that she moved up to the Laurel class on her birthday. Her name is "Sister Joe" that's short for Terra Johnson.

Since Layni is now 14 she was able to go to her first stake dance. She was pretty excited to go and even dressed up for the costume party. Kairsti was sad that she couldn't go but she had her Homecoming the same night.

Kairsti's first date was to the Homecoming dance at her high school. Her dates name was Jake and she said they all had a fabulous time. She called us up a few nights before the dance and wanted to make sure it was alright if she went in a limo to the dance. We just had to laugh. On the way home from her date she asked him how he was going to top this date for the next time he takes her out. lol

I thought it would be fun to post some old Halloween pictures to get in a festive Halloween mood.

There is a fun farm not to far from where we live that Kairsti and I went to and picked up some corn stalks and a bail of straw for the front porch from. While we were there we had a good time checking out the horses and playing in the barn with the baby kittens. In the picture Kairsti is hanging upside down out of the loft of the barn. It got dark fast but we still went through the corn maze with a flashlight and the light of the moon.

This was Layni's first time doing marching band. Her middle school band is out on the field with the high school band preforming at the varsity football game.
